After last nights performance by the Red Sox in the 12 inning game versus the Pirates at Fenway Park the future is looking bright for Boston. The new addition of pitcher Chris Sale seems to be well worth it. He gave up zero runs through 7 innings. His final line was 7 innings, 3 hits, zero runs, 1 walk, 7 strikeouts. The game ended by a Sandy Leon walk-off home run in the twelfth inning. If Boston’s pitching rotation can play at the level Sale did last night then there is a high possibility they can be World Series Champions this season.

So lets get down to the real talk. For the Red Sox to be successful this season Rick Porcello has to pitch like he did last year. Also David Price has to live up to his $217 million contract which he has yet to do. Never mind the rest of the team has to perform as well. They have the pieces to do well, with a great mix of veterans and young talent. That could be just what the Sox need to get their ninth World Series title.
