Last night in game 2 of the series between the Rockets and Thunder Russell Westbrook had another unbelievable performance, unfortunately it ended in a loss for the Thunder. His stat line looked like this, 51 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists. When asked about his great performance Westbrook said, “I don’t give a fuck about my scoring line. We lost the game.” Westbrook has realized that he can’t do everything himself in the playoffs. “I’ve got to do a better job of finding my guys and trusting in them, especially when things aren’t going our way late in games,” Westbrook said. With the Thunder down 0-2 we will have to wait to see if there are any changes in game 3.

So lets get down to the real talk. Well I guess Westbrook came out from the rock he was living under. No shit you can’t win a seven game series in the NBA with one person. Yes Russell you have to pass to your TEAMMATES sometimes to win. On the other hand, to any reporter surprised by his response about his stat sheet. . . you have issues. What do you want him to say? “Yea I am really glad I dropped 50 tonight, I’m not really hung up about the loss”. No, this is his job. To win. I’d be pretty pissed off if I was down 0-2 in a series. Especially when the rest off your team blows. At the end of the day it seems like he’s doing everything he can to win which is all you can ask from the guy.
